3D printing is rapidly being adopted by various industries to improve efficiency, consistency and accuracy in manufacturing. In recent years, 3D technology is also increasingly applied in clinical practice. 3D imaging, laser scanning, stereophotogrammetry, and printing have revolutionized the practice of dentistry. This presentation will give an overview of the current as well as developing applications, including the 3D printing of models, surgical guides, scaffolds, orthodontic appliances and dental prostheses.
