Matthew Rodrigues,
Instrument Field Application Scientist
Originally from Canada, Matthew’s BSc and MSc studies were in Applied Physics. He earning his PhD from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada in 2015 in Medical Physics. His research focused on automating DNA damage assays for radiation dosimetry using imaging flow cytometry. In 2016 he joined the Amnis business as a Research Scientist. Following the acquisition of the Amnis business by Luminex, Matthew moved into a Field Applications Scientist Role. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications, many focused on the automation of microscope-based assays using Amnis imaging flow cytometry technology. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, running, hiking, playing music, volunteering and recently joined the Salvation Army advisory board in the Seattle area.
