Derek is a Research associate at the UCSF Center For Advanced Technology (CAT), specializing in the development of sequencing library prep methods. Before joining UCSF, he worked at UBC’s Center for High-Throughput Biology implementing ATAC-seq to explore nucleosome position as a potential mechanism for the transformative ability of mutations in the SWI/SNF complex in a model for rhabdoid tumors.
