Anita Kant's Biography



Anita Kant, Senior Field Application Scientist

Anita obtained her PhD from Tata Cancer Research Institute, Mumbai. Her research focused on molecular biology of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Later she joined Dr. Donald Durden’s lab in Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as a post doc where she worked on the role of SHIP-1 phosphatase to regulate signal transduction during myeloid immune response. Anita developed Immune therapy for neuroblastoma with modified immune cells combined with humanized antibody in Dr. Bob Seeger’s lab at CHLA. Anita entered the commercial world as a research manager with NeoMarkers, now a Thermo Fisher company developing antibodies for Flow, WB and IHC. Later she joined Bexel pharma’s anti-cancer drug development program as a staff scientist. Anita worked as a field application scientist and as a Product manager for GMP SW at Molecular Devices. She also developed Molecular Devices University with online and classroom courses while at Molecular Devices. For past 10 years Anita is working as a Senior Field Application Specialist with Standard BioTools (Previously Fluidigm) supporting CyTOF. Anita now covers Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Western Canada.
