Prof. Matthias Lutolf is Head of the Laboratory of Stem Cell Bioengineering at the EFPL. His internationally recognized lab works at the interface of stem cell biology, soft matter engineering and micro-engineering to elucidate how stem cells take decisions and how their decision-making process is influenced by signaling cues from the microenvironment.
