David performed his doctoral research at Oxford University at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, investigating mechanisms of blood cell specification during primitive haematopoiesis. In 2007 he joined Sigma-Aldrich, to later become the commercial and technical lead for their genome editing portfolio in Northern Europe, and in June 2011 he joined Cellectis bioresearch as the commercial lead for their innovative Genome customisation portfolio in Northern and Western Europe.
