Simon Werner,
Scientist
Simon Werner studied Mechatronics and Electrical engineering and is working as an engineer for the Natural and Medical Sciences Institute (NMI) in the field of microfluidics, organ-on-chip systems, and sensors since 2007. In 2022, he was part of the MDRS crew238, a multinational analog Mars mission in the Utah desert (USA) that focused on the mental health and safety of astronauts. From 2001 to 2006 he was working for Scintec AG, a Rottenburg (Germany) based company developing laser-optical, acoustic and radar instruments for atmospheric research.
