Olivier Henry,
Program Director – Life Science Technologies
Dr. Olivier Henry research interests and expertise lie in the development of new integrated microdevices with application in diagnostics, chemical and biochemical synthesis and cell and tissue microengineering. With a background in applied chemistry and instrumentation, he holds a PhD in Biomedical Science (Cranfield University, 2005). After holding research positions at GSK, Sphere Medical and the Universitat Rogira i Virgili, Olivier worked as a Senior Staff Engineer within the Advanced Technology Team at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, heading the Microfabrication and Sensors group and developing new approaches for the monitoring of microfluidic-based cell cultures, medical diagnostics and information storage technology. He joined imec in 2018 and is Program Director for Life Science & Medical Device Technologies where he focuses on the development of advanced miniaturized analytics to support the latest biomanufacturing trends.
