Pavel Neužil,
Team Leader
Pavel Neuzil obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague, Czech Republic. His thesis topic was integration of ion sensitive field effect transistors for pH sensing. He worked as postdoctoral fellow at University of Illinois, research fellow at Stanford University (both USA) and a member of technical Staff at the Institute of Microelectronics, Singapore. His research interests were in advanced MEMS and nanotechnology for application such as magneto optical recording and thermal imaging. He joined then the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Singapore where he was involved in development of fastest PCR system based on micromachined silicon. Since then he is primarily interested in portable, simple and economical systems for point-of-care diagnostics based on molecular methods. He is a co-author of over 70 journal publications and co-inventor of 10 patents. He joined Department of Mechanical Engineering, NPU in October 2015 in frame of a “1000 talent plan” with an aim to develop microfluidics and diagnostics methods and systems at NPU.
