Liang Zhao,
Assistant Professor
Dr. Zhao is currently assistant professor in University of Science and Technology Beijing. Before that, he studies at Nanjing University for his Master and Ph.D. degree. In 2010, he joined Prof. Yanyi Huang’s group in Peking University as postdoc associate. In 2014-2015, he was a visiting researcher in UC Berkeley, Prof. Luke Lee’s group.
In 2014, he developed one of the most sensitive single cell RNA-Sequencing methods based on microfluidics. At present, he is focused on developing new microfluidic device which can be easily use to study tumor metastasis, tumor-stoma interactions, and organ on chip. He still works on single cell RNA-Seq in integrated microfluidic platform, which may bring some valuable merits such as high throughput and efficiency comparing with conventional way of molecular biology.
