Senior Researcher
Richard Stahl, PhD, is a Senior Researcher in the Integrated Imaging team at IMEC, Belgium. His main research interests are holography, diffractive optics and their application in display and imaging technologies, designing and developing systems and proof-of-concept prototypes that take advantage of the advanced semiconductor integration technologies. In the recent years he has worked on design, development and integration of customized lens-free microscopes for life science applications, such as automated stem-cell monitoring system, cardiac contractility assay or a high-throughput single-cell imaging system for blood cell analysis. He received his PhD degree from Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium in 2006 and his Master degree from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2000.
