Nikhil Joshi's Biography

Nikhil Joshi, Assistant Professor of Immunobiology

Nikhil Joshi received his Ph.D. from the Yale University, where he studied the formation of memory CD8 T cells during acute infections with Susan Kaech. He subsequently joined Tyler Jacks’s laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he investigated regulatory T cells and immunoregulation in the tumor microenvironment in autochthonous models of lung cancer. In 2016, Dr. Joshi moved to the Immunobiology department at Yale University as an assistant professor. His laboratory focuses on how the tumor microenvironments from different cancer types impact the function of anti-tumor T cells and how immune responses shape developing tumors and the tumor microenvironment in genetically engineered mouse cancer models.
