Corinna Keup's Biography

Corinna Keup, Researcher

Corinna Keup studied biochemistry and molecular biomedicine in Duesseldorf and Muenster, Germany. In her master thesis, performed at QIAGEN GmbH, she focused on preanalytical challenges regarding the analysis of extracellular vesicles. Currently Corinna Keup is working as a PhD student in the lab of Prof. Sabine Kasimir-Bauer at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, University Hospital of Essen, Germany. Her research focuses on the potential of liquid biopsies for therapy stratification of metastatic breast cancer patients. In cooperation with QIAGEN GmbH, Hilden, she established a new multimarker qPCR panel for the comparison of mRNA profiles of circulating tumor cells and extracellular vesicles. This work was awarded with the travel grant at the 3RD ACTC conference 2017 in Rhodes and was published in Clinical Chemistry (Keup et al. 2018).
