Shayne Harrel,
Chief Scientist-Americas
Shayne Harrel is the Chief Scientist of the Americas for Izon Science. Before joining Izon, he worked at Olympus Corporation of the Americas as a Senior Applications Scientist specializing in x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). Shayne also worked as a chemist for the USFDA where he focused on radio and analytical chemistry, measurement uncertainty analysis and regulatory science.
Shayne holds a PhD in physical chemistry from Yale University. During his graduate career, he helped pioneer the development and application of Terahertz emission spectroscopy (TES) to charge transfer systems, semiconductor and magnetic materials.
