Peter Lee's Biography



Peter Lee, Assistant Professor of Surgery

Dr. Lee is an Assistant Professor of Surgery with a joint appointment in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University. His research interests revolve around the development and application of skeletal and cardiac muscle tissue engineering constructs. He has flown multiple microgravity and spaceflight experiments, including in parabolic zero gravity flights, aboard the space shuttle, and on the International Space Station (ISS). He is a, Executive Council member of Aerospace Medical Association, Governing Board member of the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research, and elected member of both the International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine and the International Academy of Astronautics.
