This Satellite Meeting Sponsored by the ITN-MIMIC presents research efforts being performed in a University-Company Partnership focused on Organ-on-a-Chip. MIMIC -- "Mimicking organs-on-chips for high-throughput screening and basic research" -- is an interdisciplinary European Industrial Doctorate at the interface of cell biology, engineering and drug development.  ITN-MIMIC is a collaborative innovative research program created by the University of Sheffield (Sheffield, United Kingdom) in collaboration with two industrial partners MIMETAS and Galapagos (Leiden, The Netherlands).
