Welcome to the Chemistry Outsourcing track of the Discovery Chemistry Congress and exhibition. This year's event will be held in Munich, Germany.

Global competitiveness is becoming increasingly important for the pharmaceutical industry. This financial pressure is forcing companies to constantly explore options to enhance the efficiency of all stages of their drug discovery pipeline, particularly at the discovery chemistry phase.

Chemistry outsourcing, in particular, can offer a number of benefits, namely reducing costs, increasing flexibility and expanding a company knowledge base. However, effective outsourcing does not come without problems, such as patent issues, poor partner relationships and project complexity. It requires the correct selection of an outsourcing partner as well as sound management to effectively integrate external knowledge bases with internal ones.
