Bioparticles extraction by size using centrifugal microfluidics
Joo Chuan Yeo, Research Engineer, Singapore Institute Of Manufacturing Technology
We developed a centrifugal microfluidic platform capable of bioparticles separation by size. Unlike conventional centrifuge, our approach is optimized for low sample volumes and requires minimal instrumentation. The entire process is extremely rapid and requires only microliters of undiluted sample. Furthermore, particles of different sizes may be extracted from different outlets. This approach can be applied for separation of biological cells and particles.
