Democratising Live-Cell High-Speed Super-Resolution Microscopy
Ricardo Henriques, Group Leader, University College London
High-speed live-cell super-resolution studies remains limited to specialised optical setups, generally requiring intense phototoxic illumination. On this presentation I will describe a new analytical approach, Super-Resolution Radial Fluctuations (SRRF), enabling super-resolution in modern non-specialised microscopes using conventional fluorophores such as GFP. We demonstrate that this method is able to achieve super-resolution using sample illumination orders of magnitude lower than methods such as PALM, STORM or STED.
