Application of SEC and TRPS in isolation and quantification of EVs
Ian Yan, Application Scientist, iZON Science Ltd.
Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) has been approved to be the most reliable and facile method of isolation of EVs from cell culture media(CCM) and biological fluid, such as plasma. This method owns advantages of high recovery without losses of vesicle subpopulations (known as exosomes), almost complete removal of soluble proteins and lipoprotein, and gentle purification process without damage vesicles. and tunable resistive pulse sensing (TRPS) system can isolate Tunable Resistive Pulse Sensing (TRPS) is a high-resolution particle-by-particle technique commercially available for accurate determination of the size, concentration and charge of EVs particles. Individual particles are measured from the resistive pulse they generate as they traverse a tunable pore. TRPS has been shown to provide the detailed measurement necessary to give representative information on EVs samples, not possible with ensemble bulk- analysis techniques for submicron particle sizing.
High resolution particle-byparticle Concentration, Size & Charge Analysis is uniquely available with TRPS, and represents a new way to characterize and understand exosome particles.
