Analyzing in Flow

A high temperature/high backpressure reactor has been developed to facilitate high energy transformations using silicon carbide reaction tubes that couple very effectively with microwave irradiation to take the temperature well above the boiling points of the reactants and solvents. In-process reaction monitoring with GCMS, LCMS, and NMR spectroscopy has been developed to accurately track reaction performance. This has facilitated the incorporation of feed-back loops to be created between the reactor effluent stream and the front end of the reactor using in-house developed software for hands-free continuous reaction optimization and production monitoring.
