Innovations in Optical Imaging: Pushing the Frontier in Neuroscience
Chris Ho, Senior Research Fellow, Singapore Bioimaging Consortium
Optical imaging techniques have been used to study tissue parameters such as blood oxygenation and perfusion, in order to gain insights in tissue physiology. For instance, in the context of brain imaging, optical imaging can be used to visualize and study the relationship between tumor vasculature and metabolism. In this presentation, a good overview of various optical imaging modalities such as photoacoustic and diffuse optical imaging will be provided and some applications in brain imaging studies will be highlighted as well.
