Taste masking and stability of Pediatric Solid Oral Dosage forms

It has always been challenging to formulate pediatric oral formulation(s), because of the bitter or disagreeable taste of drugs. These drugs, if they are sensitive to chemical degradation, create even more challenges to the formulators, to hit the two problems in the same formulation approach. This review, focuses on aspects w.r.t what are the unmet needs of the pediatric consumers and discusses different approaches where taste can be masked including chemical stabilization of the drug.
