From Nanoliter Droplet-Based High Throughput Biomarker Validation to POC Quantification of Cytomegalovirus in Urine by Backscattering Interferometry
Darryl Bornhop, Professor, Vanderbilt University
Coupling of a newly developed droplet generator with BSI has enabled rapid, nanoliter-volume, biomarker quantification at the pg/mL (femtomolar) level in serum and urine. Additionally, an approach to constrain environmental noise has led to the construction of a bench-top and prototype hand-held BSI.
