PAT & Chemometric Tools in QbD

Process analytical technology (PAT) helps in monitoring critical in-process material attributes. Such improved detectability enables operator to have enhanced process control which intern helps in ensuring consistent finished product quality. The spectral data from PAT tools is fairly complex and statistical treatment of data is critical for making meaningful conclusions from it. “Chemometrics” is a chemical discipline which incorporates both statistical and mathematical methods to obtain and analyze spectral data. In this talk, Process Analytical Technology will be briefly introduced and appropriate chemometric methods along with their advantages and principle will be discussed.
