Additive Manufacturing (AM) is the emerging technology in medical science. In this technology data is provided through Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data etc. Modelling and optimization of mandible defected prosthesis need to have certain characteristics such as biological, mechanical and anatomical necessities. The titanium alloy is used to manufacture prosthesis because of its biocompatible and non corrosive in nature. The density of titanium material is greater than density of bone, so the weight of prosthesis need to be optimized. To obtain these, the design and optimization of prosthesis is done to replace bone shape as well as increase the porosity of prosthesis to allow blood flow and gums growth. This optimization is done by analyzing various structures such as rectangular, honeycomb and auxetic cellular struts etc. The optimum design for mandible defected prosthesis is fabricated based up on simulation results. The optimal deigned prosthesis has equal bone strength to replaced the defected bone portion.
