Capacitive Bioanalysis at the Surface of a Gold Chip

Capacitive biosensors are based on use of gold-coated sensor chips that later on modified by attaching the recognition element. When target molecules are captured by the recognition element, then a change in capacitance is registered. Very high sensitivity is reached.
