All in One - Advanced technologies for complex low cost microfluidic devices

The presentation shows that advanced process methods leads to low cost microfluidic devices made from glass, quartz and silicon. These materials are playing an important role as substrate materials for micro fluidic devices. In combination with advanced processing methods lead to a unique mix of feature sizes, optical properties combined with chemical and mechanical resistance at the lower end of the price range, which cannot be achieved by any other material. Different step heights, electrical feed-through, thermocouples and catalyst filter all within one design.
