Monitoring Adenine Nucleotide levels to assess cellular metabolic changes in response to environmental insults and altered metabolic status

We have developed a robust and sensitive bioluminescent-based HTS formatted technology to monitor cellular nucleotide levels and their relevance to cellular metabolic function. The results were commensurate with those generated using HPLC but with additional positive features such as amenability to HTS, ease of use, and simple instrument requirement. Data will be presented using various agents that interfere with cellular metabolic status supporting the use of monitoring adenine nucleotide levels as a surrogate of cellular metabolic changes using primary and transformed cells.
