Multiplex qPCR for syndromic infectious disease testing

qPCR is widely used in molecular diagnosis. However, the limited multiplexity often restricts its use in quantitative detection of some pathogens. Recent development in microfluidics has expanded qPCR to syndromic infectious disease testing. In this presentation, we will report our efforts on the integration of multiplex PCR strategy into a traditional qPCR machine and realize syndromic infectious disease testing, which is easy to use, highly sensitive, and amenable to be automated.
