Precision Medicine - Has it Impacted Indian Patients Outcome?

We are in the era of precision medicine. There is lot of information out impact of the detection of target and treating them with targeted therapy leading to improved outcome. There is always a question that how applicable is this information in our patients. We started with developing cost effective tests to detect targets and finding the effect of targeted therapy in our patients. This has lead to randomized study in our population showing that detecting mutations and treating patients with targeted therapy improves ooutcome. Subsequently we also studied the mechanism of resistance in the patients receiving targeted therapy.
