Anjali Karande's Biography

Anjali Karande, Professor, Indian Institute of Science

Dr. Anjali A. Karande has done Masters in Zoology from the university of Nagpur, PhD in Biochemistry from the Cancer Research Institute (Now, ACTREC), Mumbai. She has post-doctoral experience in the area of Tumor Biology from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm. Dr. Anjali joined the Department of Biochemistry, Indian Institute of science, Bangalore, as faculty in 1987. Presently, She is Professor in the same department. She teaches Perspectives in Immunology (PhD students), Lab course in Biochemistry (Undergraduate students)and Immunology for M.Sc. students (Masters students).Her research areas are Immuno-endocrinology; Toxins in cell targeted killing She has 125 Publications till date.
