Pallavi Sinha's Biography

Pallavi Sinha, Associate Scientist, ICRISAT

Dr. Pallavi Sinha, an Indian national with more than five years of postdoctoral experience, is presently working as an Associate Scientist, Centre For Excellence in Genomics at ICRISAT. Pallavi has made significant contributions in marker development for purity testing of A4 cytoplasm specific CMS lines and candidate genes identification for drought, FW, SMD, in Pigeonpea. She is currently involved in a next generation sequencing based Epigenomics project to understand the molecular basis of heterosis in Pigeonpea. Pallavi has also worked at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi during the course work of her Ph.D. degree and was registered from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, India. Her Ph.D. degree was on the molecular mapping of fertility restorer genes in Wheat. Pallavi has a basic background in molecular genetics and has published more than 15 publications in leading journals including Plant Biotechnology Journal, The Plant Genome, PLOS ONE and Genetica.
