Akhilesh Verma,

Dr. Verma received M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry in 1992 from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (U.P.) and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2000 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, India. He was a postdoctoral Fellow with Professor Alan R. Katritzky at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA, from 2001 to 2002, and with Prof. Richard C. Larock at Iowa State University of Science and Technology, Ames, Iowa, USA, from June 28, 2007 to August 31, 2008. Dr. Verma started his career as a Lecturer in 1998 at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research at the University of Delhi, India. He joined the Department of Chemistry University of Delhi in January 2009 as a Reader. He was appointed as Associate professor in 2010. He has guided 14 Ph.D students and published more than 55 research papers in international journals. His research interests include copper/palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions; synthetic methodologies; heterocyclic synthesis using alkynes chemistry.
