Nagasuma Chandra,
Professor,
Indian Institute of Science
Dr Nagasuma Chandra's laboratory studies genome-scale molecular networks at different levels from systems to protein structures to understand global features that are important to the pathogen, changes that occur in the host and the pathogen upon infection including metabolic reprogramming and obtaining insights from these analysis to drug discovery. Dr Chandra is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry,Indian Institute of Science and also affiliated with Bioinformatics and Mathematical biology initiatives at the institute. Dr Chandra has a B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacognosy from Bangalore and a PhD in structural biology from University of Bristol, UK. In 1999 she joined Indian Institute of Science and continues to work there. She has 100+ publications in the areas of systems biology, structural biology and drug discovery in international journals.
