Manasi Mishra's Biography

Manasi Mishra, DST-INSPIRE Faculty, Shiv Nadar University

Dr. Manasi Mishra is DST Inspire Faculty at Department of Life Sciences, Shiv Nadar University, Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP. Dr. Mishra received her Ph.D in Biotechnology from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. She is also a recipient of short-term DAAD fellowship and conducted collaborative research at EMBL Hamburg, Germany. After completing her doctoral research, she worked at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague.
Dr. Mishra has been actively working in the area of plant proteins and peptides involved in defense against insect pest infestation and those with relevance in the context of crop improvement and delivery of pharmaceutical products. Her research has been focused on structure-function correlation of diverse plant defense proteins, molecular diversity and their functional significance. She has published her research in international peer-reviewed journals and presented in international conferences.
