Nigel Brown,

Dr Nigel Brown started work in the UK National Health Service as a Biomedical Scientist in 1982, before working in research in the areas of pharmacology and neuroedocrinology, latterly at the Institute of Psychiatry (London). In 1989 he returned to the NHS, monitoring immunosuppressive drugs for the liver transplant service at King's College Hospital, and was heavily involved in the introduction of LC-MS/MS to the service in 2003. In 2011 he moved to North East England to run the toxicology service at Wansbeck General Hospital. Dr Brown is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists and the Institute of Biomedical Science, where he is also the Chief Examiner for Clinical Chemistry.
