Mayuri Gandhi's Biography

Mayuri Gandhi, Research Scientist, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

Dr Mayuri Gandhi is presently working as Research Scientist, SAIF, IIT Bombay, India. She completed her Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Analytical Chemistry, in Feb 1992. She has experience in working with many sophisticated instruments like High resolution Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometer (HRLCMSMS), 300 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer (GCMS), Laser Ablation Inductively coupled plasma Mass Spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission (ICP-AES), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer-Imaging (FT-IR & FTIR Imaging) etc. Dr Gandhi solves many chemistry related industrial problems with these instruments and gives consultation to industries for interpreting the spectra of Mass & NMR. Her research area is Synthesis & characterisation of Quantum dots(QDs), multimodal nanomaterials for different applications such as labels for protein, Mass spectrometry for quantification & biomarkers for protein from cancer etc. Dr Gandhi is guiding 7 Ph.D. students on different topic related to Nanomaterial, filed many patents and has published articles. She has around 36 publications to her credit and has presented around 26 papers in International Conferences.
