Aditi Bhattacharya,
Reader(E)- Center for Brain Development and Repair,
Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine
Dr Aditi Bhattacharya's baccalaureate studies were done in Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi after which she was selected for the highly competitive Integrated MS-PhD program at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore. Her doctoral studies involved looking at primate vs rodent domain-specific motifs in GPCRs that alter signaling and trafficking using live cell microscopy in neuronal and non-neuronal cells. She transitioned into mouse models of autism for the post-doctoral work at the Center for Neural Science, New York University. Here Dr Bhattacharya worked on targeting mTORC1 signaling to reset translational homeostasis in Fragile X syndrome as the FRAXA research foundation and Charles H. Revson Senior Biomedical Fellow. She subsequently moved into her current position at the Centre for Brain Development and Repair, inStem, Bangalore where she studies cell-type specific translation control in neurodevelopment and developing blood based biomarkers for neuropsychiatric conditions.
