Dana Al Sulaiman received her MEng degree (First-class Honors) in Bioengineering from Imperial College London in 2015. She was then awarded the President’s PhD scholarship to assist her in her studies. She is now a final year PhD candidate in the Ladame Lab in Bioengineering, where she is an active teaching assistant and lab demonstrator. Her research focuses on developing hydrogel-based platforms and biosensors for the detection and sensing of circulating nucleic acid biomarkers from liquid biopsy. Her project aims to provide a minimally invasive, ultrasensitive and robust technology that can be used in the clinic for the early detection and monitoring of cancer.
