Dr. Praveen Reddy D.V.M, M.Sc, D.A.B.T, Scientific Manager, Discovery Sciences and Toxicology, Research and Development, Biocon Limited. He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with M.Sc in Biotechnology and is an “American Board Certified Toxicologist”. Currently he is pursuing PhD in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He has over 12 years of experience in Drug Discovery and Development toxicology. He served as Study Director / Study Monitor for approximately 65 toxicology studies both GLP and Non GLP (Includes NCE’s, NBE’s, Generics, Herbal drugs and Biosimilar’s). He was involved in filling 3 IND’s, 6 ANDA’s and 2 Para IV infringement. His experience pans over Designing, developing and standardizing new toxicological and efficacy animal models along with Designing, developing and validating 2D and 3D cell culture systems for assessing the efficacy and safety of new biological entities. He is also involved in Assessing the genotoxic potential of impurities found in Generic drugs/NCE by in silico (DEREK) analysis and in vitro Genotoxicity studies.
