Oscar de Frutos's Biography

Oscar de Frutos, Research Advisor / Group Leader, Eli Lilly and Company

Dr. Oscar de Frutos graduated in Cheimstry at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. He conducted his Ph.D studies in the same university under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Echavarren and the post-doctoral studies at the University of Pittsburgh with Prof. Dennis Curran. He joined EliLilly and Company in the spanish affiliate in 2000 in the Medicinal Chemistry group. In 2004 he moved to the newly created Discovery Synthesis Group with the goal of accelerating the delivery of clinical candidates. One of his focus has been the implementation of synthetic technologies into the daily work. Since 2011 he has been leading the implementation of Continuous Flow technology in the Discovery area with special focus in fostering external collaborations and partnerships. He ihas co-authored 30 publications and 3 patents.
