Aria Farjam, PhD, studied chemistry at the RWTH in Aachen, Germany. He obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the free University in Amsterdam, where he worked with on-line chromatographic and immunoaffinity separation and concentration techniques. He joined Dr. Bruno Lange GmbH in 1991, where he was in charge of project management and R&D in the area of optical detection systems for analysis. He became part of Hach-Lange in 1999, where he was involved in design of analytical systems with optical and electrochemical detection, sample preparation and miniaturization of analytical fluid handling and sensing. He became director of Research and Method Development of Hach-Lange EU in 2008. He is going to join Microfluidic Chipshop as the VP R&D in September 2013.
