Mukesh Gohel, Research Director/Professor, LM College of Pharmacy

Dr. Mukesh Gohel is currently research director at Anand College of Pharmacy, Anand, Gujarat and Consultant to the industry in the area of DOE, QbD and PAT. He has a total of 41 years of teaching experience, which include 25 years of research experience at the M. Pharm. and Ph. D. levels. He is an approved Ph. D. guide in more than five Universities. He is a reviewer in many national and international journals.
He has been providing training to R&D staff of leading pharmaceutical companies in India in the areas of Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DOE), Dissolution, and Parenteral Dosage Form Development. He has acquired specialization in advanced statistical treatment to the research data.
He has guided more than 120 M. Pharm. students and 15 Ph. D. Students. He has published more than 150 research papers in national and international refereed journals of repute. He has published more than 30 papers in the area of dissolution technologies/science. He has not only suggested the major improvements to f2 calculation science, techniques for enhancing dissolution but has also suggested numerous new ways for mathematical modelling of the dissolution data.
He holds 10 formulation patents on the dosage forms such as tablets and capsules. He has been an invited speaker at wide array of conferences and seminars, including the conference on Quality by Design (QbD) in Pharma Development by CPHI in Ahmadabad in the year 2012. He was given an award for special contribution in dissolution by SPDS in 2103. He has also bagged IDMA research award for publishing the best research work.
His current areas of interest are sustained release formulations, dissolution improvement of Active Pharmaceutical ingredient (API), Design of Experiments, QBD, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), Lean Drug Manufacturing, Monte Carlo simulations and Six Sigma Principles.
