Gayatri Patel, Associate professor, Ramanbhai Patel College of Pharmacy

Dr.Gayatri Patel was awarded Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical sciences, from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, India in 2008. Presently she is working as Associate Professor in Department of Pharmaceutics (Drug Regulatory Affairs) at the Charotar University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy. She has published more than 35 papers in indexed journals in the area of pharmaceutical formulation development. She has awarded "Best Research Guide" (in M.Pharm Pharmaceutics) for the year 2010-11 by Dept. of Science & Technology (DST) sponsored by Troikaa Pharmaceutical Ltd., Ahmedabad. Since 2003 she is working on implementation of design of experiment in pharmaceutical Research. Use of Quality by Design (QbD) in formulation development is a current working area and guided more than 30 M.Pharm students for their research work using optimization tools and use of QbD. Currently she is guiding 4 Ph.D. scholars in formulation development. Her research interests are diverse from development of controlled drug delivery systems, synthesis of hydrogel polymers for targeting drug delivery application etc.
