Neerja Hajela's Biography

Neerja Hajela, Head, Science, Yakult Danone India Private Ltd

Dr. Neerja Hajela has done hers Masters in Microbiology and PhD in Biotechnology. She is the Head of Science at Yakult Danone India Pvt. Limited, Japanese French joint venture Company between Yakult Honsha Co. Ltd. of Japan and Group Danone of France, both global leaders in the area of probiotics. She has been involved in the development, planning and implementation of scientific programmes for the company. She has contributed several articles for various publications and was an invited speaker in various conferences in India and also in Japan. She is a member of the Yakult India Microbiota and Probiotic Science Foundation that focuses on promoting the science of probiotics in the country.
