Xavier Casadevall i Solvas,

Dr. Xavier Casadevall i Solvas is a Senior Scientist in the deMello Group at ETH Zurich where he works in the development of micro-engineered platforms for single-cell and small organism assays. Xevi obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2002 from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. After 2 years in Industry as an Engineer, he joined Prof. Marc Madou's BioMEMS lab at the University of California - Irvine where he received his PhD in 2009 for his work on the development of electroactive polymer microactuators. In 2009 Xevi joined the deMello and Edel groups at Imperial College London as a postdoctoral research associate, where he worked in the development of microfluidic solutions for high-throughput screening applications and ultra-sensitive fluorescence detection methods.
