Ananth Rao, Senior Consultant, Apollo hospitals

Dr. Ananth Rao is presently serving as Head-Business Development,Apollo Specialty Hospital & Head-Quality Cell, Sr.Consultant Biochemistry and Metabolic Diseases. His expertise lies in the thorough understanding all metabolic pathways, pathobiochemistry and & the diagnosis of metabolic disorders, which is a rare specialty in India. He have been instrumental in setting up laboratories for their diagnosis in India and been a member of the Task Force at ICMR.
Currently, he is Member Secretary of Ethics Committee and responsible for conduct of SRB and IEC meetings apart from monitoring activities. He participates in objective peer review of trials and Clinical Trial documents. He is also involved in handling investigator initiated trials which had provided me in-depth exposure to grants, funding sources and project completions. Currently authored / co-authored close to around 50 publications, both in National & International journals.
His special interests are Molecular Diagnostics, Autism and Theranostics.
