Joined the Australian Blood Service as a National Leader in R&D in 2008. Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology with 30 years experience working in hospitals and universities. Outcomes of my teaching and research in transfusion science include in excess of 250 publications and supervision of completion of doctoral level study by more than 30 students. My current interest is research in the molecular basis of blood groups found in ethnic groups other than Caucasians.
