Usha Virendra,

Indian Institute of Chemical Technology
Dr.Usha Virendra obtained her B.Tech., M.Tech. and PhD in Chemical Engineering from O.U., Hyderabad. She has about 30 years of experience as a research scientist and is presently a senior scientist at IICT. Her areas of expertise include process development, design, demonstration and commissioning. She has been involved in several key research projects at IICT namely Trimethyl Phosphite, Glyoxalic Acid, Hydrazine hydrate, Recovery of chlorine from Aqueous HCl etc.. Her current interests include micro-fluidics, Micro reactor technology and process intensification. She has guided several dissertation works (B.Tech and M.Tech). She is a member of the team that received the CSIR Technology Award (1996) for Trimethyl Phosphite and has several research publications in Indian and international journals, to her credit.
